Visiting Elmira swept a pair of 4A District 4 softball games from Marshfield at Coos Head Field in Coos Bay Thursday. Both games were tied entering the seventh. However, the third-place Falcons (8-4, 15-7) outscored the Pirates in extra innings to win the first game 16-9 and took the second game, after it was tied at three entering the final inning, 7-3. Fourth place Marshfield (4-8, 7-13) plays at second place Junction City (9-1, 17-3) Tuesday.
