Travis Wittlake Jr.
Marshfield’s two-time state wrestling champion Travis Wittlake Jr. is a finalist for a Nike Oregon Sports Award. Wittlake (4A), a sophomore, was named along with Sam Colbray, Hermiston (5A), Osawaru Odighizuwa, David Douglas (6A) and Layne Van Anrooy, Roseburg (6A). Van Anrooy was the owner wrestler to defeat Wittlake last season; however, the Pirate also came back and beat Van Anrooy at a later tournament. Winners will be announced June 6th at the 64th Annual Nike Oregon Sports Awards, Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton.
