Recommending an official name for what has long been known as White River Falls near Tygh Valley is on the agenda of the Oregon Geographic Names Board when it meets Saturday, June 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the Crook County Library in Prineville. Also on the Oregon Board’s agenda is the proposed name “Lake Patricia” for a small unnamed lake in the Umpqua National Forest in Douglas County. The Board agenda and comment information may be found on the OGNG website: http://www.ohs.org/research/oregon-geographic-names-board/.
