Come to “North Bend the Gateway to the Bay Area” and enjoy a week-end full of fun during the July Jubilee, July 15th & 16th! There will be a parade, 5K Jaunt, Show N Shine, Car Cruise, free swimming, bowling, fishing, lunch with the Princesses, and birthday cake at the Liberty Theatre! Friday from 11am – Noon children may enjoy a free lunch as they eat at the feet of Princesses at the North Bend Library. The Princesses will be reading from a wonderful selection of stories while children enjoy their lunch. During that time the library will include a free balloon hat, sword and glitter tattoo. At four o’clock Sip and Stroll through Downtown North Bend with a fun and festive wine tasting tour. Make a donation of $10 and receive a Sip n Stroll glass and program at Engles Furniture. The Sip n Stroll ends at the Liberty Theatre just in time for the Honored Citizens Awards Reception and the traditional “Cutting of the Cake”! Enjoy free cake, balloon drop all while taking in Pacific School of Dance and live theatre LTOB style! Festivities last until 9pm. Saturday morning you may still register for the July Jubilee 5K Jaunt at the Boardwalk, 8:00am. The Jaunt starts at 9am, but get there early and watch the Princesses arrive in the North Bend Fire Boat from across the bay. Walkers start at 9am and runners start at 9:15am. Register to compete for $10 and a t-shirt, walk for free, t-shirts available for anyone – $10. Celebrate at Grant Circle after the 5K Jaunt with free ice Cream, free hotdogs, and free fishing at the DFW fish pond on the lawn at City Hall. If you’re not in the mood to fish, you can always swim or bowl for free at the North Bend Lanes from 1-3pm and the North Bend Swimming Pool 1-4pm. It’s not too late to register for the All Car Show & Shine, Car Cruise, Disc Golf Tournament, or Parade. All are accepting new registration at the event! Enjoy Little Theatre on the Bay, “Country – Rock ‘N Roll – British Invasion – Director’s Choice” at 7pm or A George Strait Tribute and dinner at the North Bend Lanes at 7:30pm. Sunday, delight in a walk starting at the Boardwalk! The Historical Walk of Downtown North Bend begins at 10am ….no registration, no fees, just an enjoyable time! If you missed the “Little Ole Opry” Entertainment on Saturday you can still catch it on Sunday afternoon at 2pm!
