News release from NBPD. The North Bend Police Department is now offering ALICE (Alert Lockdown Inform Counter Evacuate) Violent Intruder Response Training to businesses and organizations within North Bend. In November of 2014, the North Bend Police Department brought ALICE training to North Bend schools. ALICE training is a nationally recognized response plan based upon the most recent data from active shooter situations. NBPD recognizes that this training holds life-saving value for ALL members of our community, not just in our schools. As such, the police department has trained a battery of instructors to provide this training to any business or organization that requests it. Participants will experience paradigm-shifting thought processes that change and improve their threat assessments and learn techniques to improve their chances for survival. Whether you are in the workplace, a public meeting, the movie theatre, the mall, or anywhere, this information could save your life. If you would like more information or would like to schedule a 2-4 hour training session at your North Bend business or organization, please contact NBPD’s Lead ALICE Instructor Officer Ed Perry at eperry@northbendpd.org there is no cost for this training.
