Both of North Bend’s basketball teams lost opening round games at the 14th Annual Les Schwab Tires South Coast Tires Basketball Tournament at Marshfield in Coos Bay Thursday. The Bulldog girls fell 56-28 to Madras, while the boys lost 57-47 to Philomath. Today, North Bend’s boys play Sutherlin, 8:30 a.m., while the Lady Bulldogs take on Coquille at 10:15 a.m.
