Marshfield’s boys placed 15th and North Bend 17th out of 30 teams competing in the varsity 5K race at the Country Fair Classic in Veneta Wednesday. North Bend’s girls were 11th out of 23 teams. Individually, the Bulldogs senior Michael Brown placed fourth overall (16:07.7), while teammate Geroge LaGesse was 14th (16:43.3); 120 Donovan Oakes 18:22.5; 158 Tyson Flitcroft 18:56.4; 170 Patton Reid 19:10.2; 179 Chandler Pruett 19:16.8; 182 Jacob Adams 19:19.9; 207 Dylan Geier 19:52.8. Marshfield was led by senior Ian Emlet who placed 31st (17:06.2), he was followed by Jeremy Roe 63rd (17:32.4), Gabe Delgado 76th (17:47.6), 118 Jonathon Sampier 18:21.4; 134 Isaac Hasel 18:37.7; 167 Ethan Cleveland 19:07.7; 191 Kyran Erwin 19:36.2. In the girls varsity race, Marshfield’s Jazmin Chavez placed 7th overall (19:05.3); 33 Kaylee Delzotti 20:18.2; 109 Madelyn Suppes 22:36.3; For North Bend: 42 Samantha Shook 20:43.4; 46 Megan Rutherford 20:47.2; 77 Janelle LeBlanc 21:30.7; 83 Hailey Finnigan 21:36.7; 94 Alyssa Monohon 21:57.4; 114 Elizabeth Salathe 22:44.5; 144 Kate Riley 23:59.5. Next up for both teams is the Far West League District Championships Oct. 27th at Tugman State Park north of Lakeside.
