North Bend’s girls were first and the Bulldog boys second at the Wally Ciochetti Invitational Friday at Cottage Grove High School.  Thirteen teams competed.  North Bend’s girls won with 121-points, while Philomath was second with 118.5.  Crook Co. took the boy’s side with 125, while the Bulldogs tallied 113.  Individually:  Jonathan Chilcote swept the 100 (11.20) & 200 (22.47 – 2nd fastest time in 5A this season).  The senior also anchored the winning 4X100 Relay with Divenson Willis, Jake Posey & Martin Godinez to a 43.41 time (fastest in 5A this season).  Ty Hampton won the Javelin (205-02) and junior Chelsea Howard took the Long Jump (17-08.25, best in 5A this season).  The 5A Midwestern District Championships are coming up May 16-18 at Crater HS in Central Point.  There is a MWL JV District Meet scheduled for May 10 at Thurston.
