According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Aug. 27, 12:10 a.m., 2100 block California Ave., “report of yelling and screaming coming from area, possible subjects fighting,” 54-year old Ronald Chavez arrested on CCSO warrant charging Failure to Appear on DUII charge, also Parole Violation. “Officers advised no one wanted to be a victim of assault or harassment.” Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
