According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Nov. 21, 10:32 p.m., Pine & Commercial, “RP reported possible intoxicated driver last seen headed westbound on Virginia Ave., unknown direction of travel from Broadway. Officer respond and attempt to locate the last direction of travel. Second RP reported hit & run suspect vehicle 2400 block of Kinney St. Officers respond / located the vehicle with suspect hiding inside / CCSO assisted at scene.” Twenty-three year old Shannon P. Bennett, North Bend, charged with DUII Alcohol (BAC .22%), and Driving Uninsured. Additional charges of Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver, Hit & Run Property Damage X2, Criminal Mischief I, Reckless Endangering & Reckless Driving. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
