News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. As of Tuesday September 1, 2015, The Coos County Sheriff’s Office will no longer be accepting personal checks for payment of civil service fees. Due to the large amount of insufficient fund checks and check written from closed accounts, we will only be accepting money orders or cashier’s checks. These items will need to be made out for the exact amount of the service fees. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office staff apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
