NB Traffic Grant
North Bend Police utilized funds from a traffic grant to pay overtime for officers to help enforce the city’s traffic ordinances. On Monday, Feb. 8, between 7 a.m. and noon, officers issued warnings to drivers: Failure to Stop for School Bus; Failure to Yield for Pedestrian; Speeding; Failure to Carry Proof of Insurance; Failure to Update Name & Address to DMV; Visible Emissions; Cell Phone use While Driving; No Seat Belt. Citations were also issued for: Expired Tags; Speeding 41/25; DWS Violation; Failure to File SR22. Most of the Traffic Grant Enforcement took place on Sherman Ave.

According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Feb. 8, 12:29 p.m., CBPD served NBPD warrants on 23-year old Mathue Lee Trent Meighan, transient, charging Criminal Trespass II, Failure to Appear II.

Warrant
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Feb. 8, 12:33 p.m., Virginia & Meade, “off duty officer reported observing wanted subject walking W/B on Virginia,” 22-year old Phillip James Brazille, Coos Bay arrested on CBPD warrant charging PCS Meth, and Probation Violation. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Counterfeit
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Feb. 8, 1:01 p.m., 2000 block Inland Dr., “counterfeit bill. Report taken for documentation.”

Shoplifter
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Feb. 8, 1611 Virginia Ave., 26-year old Danny Ray O’Dell, Coos Bay, taken into custody on NBPD warrant charging Criminal Trespass II. Also, 41-year old Brenden Vanburen, North Bend, arrested on CBPD warrant charging Failure to Appear on DUII. And, 22-year old Andrew Boen, Bandon arrested on St. Helens warrant charging Probation Violation on Disorderly Conduct charge. All three transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
