According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, June 27, 4:27 p.m., 800 block Wall St., “RP request officer for intoxicated UEMV subject in her son’s car. Officers respond and contacted the subject still in the area,” 68-year old Eugene Martin Bowers, Coos Bay, cited for DUII (BAC .18%). Additionally charged with UEMV and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, June 27, 8:12 p.m., 1800 block McPherson Ave., “RP reported subject was trying to break into Pepsi machine at location. Using crowbar to the back of the machine,” 45-year old Victor Sullivan, Coos Bay, cited and released for Criminal Mischief II, permanently trespassed from Fire Dept.
Cougar
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, June 27, 9:29 p.m., 3000 block Pine St., “RP advised son called him and advised that there was a cougar on the back deck approximately 5-10 mintues ago, officer checked area and was unable to locate.”
