According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, Oct. 4, 2:52 a.m., 1600 block Virginia Ave., Pony Village Mall, “Yellow Cab driver advised transient ripped off windshield wiper off her vehicle. Report taken for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief and Reckless Endangering.”

Subject left location in vehicle, RP following vehicle,” 28-year old Steven Miller, Coos Bay, taken into custody on warrant charging PCS Meth, also CBPD warrant charging Probation Violation on original charge of PCS Meth, and two CCSO warrants charging PCS Meth and Probation Violation. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
