A 13-year old boy from Oklahoma drowned on the North Oregon Coast at Seaside Thursday, July 21. Conner Moore was attending a family reunion when he and a cousin went swimming in the ocean. About 3:30 p.m., the two were seen struggling in the water. The 14-year old cousin was rescued, but the US Coast Guard and a lifeguard swimmer found Moore in the water and retrieved him. Both were transported to a local hospital where Conner Moore died. Carter Moore was life-flighted to a Portland hospital and released Friday morning.
