City of North Bend release – CASE FILE NO. APP 1-18 The City Public Hearings Officer held a public hearing on appeal of Planning Commission’s decision to deny Conditional Use Permit Case File No. CUP 7-17, College Park Community Church Emergency Warming Center on Monday, May 14th, 2018 in the City Hall Council Chamber. Two people spoke in favor of the proposal, one person spoke neutrally of the proposal, and five people spoke in opposition to the proposal. Action: The Hearings Officer left the record open for the submittal of additional argument, evidence, and testimony. The open record period closed at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 28th, 2018. The Hearings Officer made the following recommendation to City Council:  APPROVE the Appeal and APPROVE the Application on a temporary basis (i.e. with an expiration date of March 15, 2019). Final Decision by the City Council:  Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2002, enacted by the City on April 26th, 2016, the City Council shall review the record and the Hearings Officer’s recommendation to make their decision.  City Council will ratify their decision on this matter at a future, regularly scheduled meeting date TBD.
