The City of Coos Bay Public Works Department will be closing one lane of Commercial Avenue between Broadway Avenue and Bayshore. The north lane of Commercial will be closed while the abutting trees are removed on August 21, 2019. Also, Market Avenue will be closed to through traffic for three hours on the same day. The purpose of the road closure is to allow city maintenance crews access to the sidewalk abutting Wells Fargo Bank which will be demolished and replaced.
