The Local Government Grant Program Advisory Committee will meet June 18-20 at the Best Western Plus Mill Creek Inn, 3125 Ryan Drive SE, Salem. The meeting is open to the public. Local Government Grant Program (LGGP) applicants will present their proposed projects to the committee for review. The committee will evaluate and score all applications and create a priority ranking list of projects to be funded. The priority ranking list will be forwarded to the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department Commission for final review and approval. Eligible LGGP applicants include cities, metros, counties, park and recreation districts, and port districts. LGGP provides grant assistance for public park and outdoor recreation areas and facilities. The program was established in 1998 under the Parks and Natural Resources Fund.
