Oregon Coast Community Action (ORCCA) Board of Directors is requesting recommendations for candidates to serve on the ORCCA Board of Directors. Ideal candidates should be residents of Coos County, Curry County or the area of Douglas County served by the Reedsport School District. This is an exciting time for ORCCA as we move forward in a positive, stable direction, comments Development Committee Chair, Mirrandah Wittman “the next logical step is to recruit and expand our Board of Directors to help ORCCA plan strategically for the future as well as support and advocate on behalf of families served by ORCCA’s network of programs.” The ORCCA Board of Directors consists of the following sectors: 1/3 Elected Officials or their designees; 1/3 Low income representatives; 1/3 Officials or members of business and/or community. ORCCA Board members are elected for a one-year term and they are charged with attending monthly Board meetings, managing organizational affairs, and representing and advocating on behalf of the community ORCCA serves and collaborates with. Development Committee Chair, Mirrandah Wittman, goes on to say “We are recruiting volunteer Board members who will serve with enthusiasm in ORCCA’s work toward a sustainable, healthy community in which all people are accorded dignity, respect, and an opportunity to achieve their full potential.” If you are interested, or would like to recommend an individual, please submit your letter of interest to: ORCCA Board of Directors, c/o Oregon Coast Community Action, 1855 Thomas Ave., Coos Bay, OR 97420 OR recruitment@orcca.us Oregon Coast Community Action is a non-profit network of programs that help feed, house, warm and educate the communities of the South Coast.
