Beavers Hold First Practice of 2014 Season
The Oregon State volleyball team held their first practices of the 2014 season Saturday morning. The team has a mix of newcomers and returners to the program with nine 2013 letter winners, including five starters, as well as nine newcomers for the 2014 season. “There’s a good balance of veterans and new people to the team” said head coach Taras Liskevych. “We plan on having a mix of upperclassmen and newcomers contributing in games this year. We kept practice generic to start and will do that for the first few days, so we can find the best constituency on the court before we move forward.” The team started practice at 9 a.m. Saturday and then followed that with an afternoon session at 4 p.m. After a long summer, the players were happy to be out on the court as a team again.
