Vehicle fire
A 15-year old Bandon juvenile was placed in custody for DUII, Reckless Driving and Recklessly Endangering Another Person after a vehicle caught fire June 6, 10:14 p.m.  According to an Oregon State Police report, “the juvenile reporting party admitted to driving and admitted consuming alcoholic beverages.  The vehicle was engulfed in flames when fire personnel arrived.  The investigation revealed that the inexperienced driver had lost control, and the vehicle left the roadway to a roadside ditch and vegetation caught fire.  The operator was exhibiting signs of impairment and agreed to perform field sobriety tests which he failed.”  The juvenile was transported to Bandon PD for a breath sample.  He was released to his mother and charges will be referred to the Juvenile Dept.

DUII
A white Dodge Neon stopped for Speeding on June 8, 10:46 a.m., led to a DUII arrest.  According to an OSP report, the driver was identified as 50-year old Johnnie Boyd Roe, Coos Bay, “He showed signs and symptoms of impairment.”  He consented to and failed a Field Sobriety Test and was transported to Coos Bay PD for a breath test and urine sample.  Cited and released to his sister.
