The 2015 prep softball season ended Friday and Saturday at the Oregon State University Softball Complex in Corvallis with finals in all five OSAA classifications. Pilot Rock/Nixyaawii beat league foe Weston-McEwen for the fourth time Friday afternoon, but this was for the state 2A/1A championship and the Rockets prevailed 2-1 with the winning run coming in from third on a pass ball. In the other Friday game, Dayton denied Rainier a third straight crown with a 5-1 in the 3A championship game. Three games were held on Saturday. In the 5A contest, Rex Putnam avenged last year’s loss in the title game to Pendleton with a 3-2 win. Tualatin beat Westview 10-0 in five innings in the 6A game. The 4A game was won by McLoughlin of Milton-Freewater for the second straight year, 4-0 over Banks.

The 2015 prep baseball season ended with OSAA championship games Friday and Saturday at Volcano Stadium in Keizer. Knappa won the 2A/1A title 3-0 over Monroe/Alsea. Santiam Christian of the Corvallis area won the 3A championship 3-0 over Glide. The 4A was won by Scappoose 11-6 over Henley. Hood River Valley took the 5A title with a 2-0 win over Liberty of Hillsboro. And, Sheldon, of Eugene, won the 6A championship 2-1 over West Linn.
