The OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union State Basketball Championships wrapped up this past weekend with tournaments in Forest Grove, Corvallis and Portland. At Forest Grove High School, Banks denied Seaside a third straight 4A boy’s title with a 62-56 win over the Seagulls. Banks also won the state football championship last December over Seaside. Baker beat Marist Catholic 51-48 for the girl’s championship. At Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Wilsonville downed Churchill 67-58 for the 5A boy’s title, while La Salle Prep took the girl’s crown with a 55-48 win over Springfield. At the Chiles Center in Portland, Jesuit beat Jefferson, Portland 71-66 for the 6A boy’s title, while Benson denied Southridge another championship with a 66-42 win.
