Marshfield’s boys earned an at large berth in the upcoming 4A basketball “Play-In” round. The Pirates finished fourth in the Far West League, but ended up with a ranking of No. 20 when the OSAA froze the rankings Tuesday night. Marshfield will play at Mazama Friday night in Klamath Falls with the winner advancing to the OSAA 4A First Round the following week. FWL champion North Bend has a bye from the “Play-In” round. Second place Siuslaw will host Newport this Friday and third place Douglas travels to No. Marion. Marshfield’s girls won the FWL and earned a bye this weekend, while second place Douglas hosts North Valley, third place North Bend travels to LaGrande and fourth place Brookings-Harbor will got to Gladstone.
