Five of the OSAA’s prep football classifications held state championships Saturday at two locations. The 5A & 3A played at Roseburg with Thurston of Springfield beating Crater of Central Point 14-10 for a repeat of the 5A title they won last year. Santiam Christian, of Adair Village north of Corvallis, won the 3A crown 41-34 over Hidden Valley of Murphy, south of Grants Pass. Over at Hermiston, La Grande held off defending 4A state champion Banks 21-0. Heppner took the 2A title over Kennedy 12-7, and Adrain/Jordan alley beat St. Paul 38-32 for the 1A championship. The 6A title game will be played Saturday, Dec. 7, noon, Hillsboro Stadium between Central Catholic and Lake Oswego.
