Valley Catholic of Beaverton won the OSAA 4A State Volleyball Championship Saturday at Forest Grove HS over Cottage Grove (3-2) of the SkyEm League. The league’s other entry in the final eight was Junction City. The Tigers fell in their opener 3-1 to Sweet Home, and then was eliminated by Tillamook 3-0. Sisters finished third and Hidden Valley fourth. Corvallis won the 5A championship at Liberty HS in Hillsboro, and Jesuit took the 6A championship at the same location. Santiam Christian took the 3A crown at Forest Grove HS, Portland Christian the 2A championship and Coquille was fourth at Redmond, and the 1A went to St. Paul, also in Redmond.
