CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith announced the additions of linebacker Kyrei Fisher, punter Jeffrey Nelson and offensive lineman Andre Beall to the roster as the Beavers opened up practices for the 2019 season on Thursday. Fisher comes to Oregon State after two seasons at Arkansas, playing in four games. He was heralded out of Union High School in Tulsa, Okla., and was rated as the No. 11 player in the state by Rivals and 14th by 247Sports. As a senior, he collected 65 tackles with eight sacks, including four in the 6A state championship game, won by Union. Fisher’s addition joins a deep linebacking corps for Oregon State. The Beavers feature nine players who have lettered for Oregon State during their careers, and welcome fellow transfers Avery Roberts and Addison Gumbs. Nelson and Beall are joining the program after starring in-state. Nelson comes to OSU from Clackamas High School where he was rated as one of the top high school prospects in the state by OregonLive.com. He led Clackamas to a 2017 state championship with a 38-yard field goal with six seconds remaining, and in 2018, averaged 40.1 yards per punt. Beall, from North Salem High School, lettered for two years on the offensive line and at defensive end. He was a 2018 All-Mid-Willamette Conference First-Team selection and also earned All-Mid-Valley First Team honors. Oregon State opens the 2019 season Friday, August. 30 vs. Oklahoma State in a nationally televised game by FS1.  Fans are invited to an open Oregon State practice as part of Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 17 at Reser Stadium.
