Oregon Freshman Max Vollmer made his Pac-12 Championships debut a memorable one with a first-place performance in the decathlon.  In the conference team race, the Men of Oregon collected 14 points between Vollmer’s win and the fifth-place finish by Dalen Hargett. The 2019 Pac-12 Championships continues May 11-12 at Roy P. Drachman Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. On the women’s side, the Ducks picked up a point from an eighth-place showing by Keira McCarrell in the heptathlon. Vollmer is the 10th Duck in program history to win the conference decathlon title, and first since Mitch Modin won in 2017. Beginning with the three-peat (2008-10) by Ashton Eaton, the Oregon men have won eight of the past 12 titles in the event.
