On Monday, July 15, 2019 at approximately 5:05 A.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle on I-205 near mile post 12. Preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was headed east crossing the northbound lanes of I-205. The pedestrian was struck by a 2019 Ford Cargo Van operated by Steven Stewart (56) of Donald, OR. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. He will not be identified until next of kin can be notified. Stewart remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
