Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers in Central Point are continuing the investigation into last nights fatal pedestrian involved crash on Highway 99 (Rogue Valley Highway) at Mace Road in Jackson County. Preliminary information indicates that on April 21, at approximately 8:47 p.m., a Grey, 2007 Nissan Frontier pick-up, driven by ROBERT A. PENNER, 35, of Central Point, was traveling northbound on Highway 99 near Mace Road in the right hand lane when it struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian, identified as TANNER ALLEN ROBERT PASCOE, 14, of Central Point, was transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center by ambulance and pronounced deceased at approximately 10:45 p.m. While the investigation into this crash is ongoing, troopers do not believe impairment, speed or unsafe driving was involved and PENNER is cooperating with investigators.
