The 43rd Annual Oregon Athletic Coaches Association All Star Basketball Series will be held this coming Friday (June 12th) and Saturday (June 13th). Friday’s games will be held in Eugene at Northwest Christian University with Saturday’s games being played at Wilsonville High School. Members of the Class of 2015 from across the state are invited to play in this Series based upon their accomplishments during their High School career and are selected by coaches from around the state. Only 48 2A-3A-4A seniors were invited, and just 24 5A-6A seniors. There are no players from the South Coast on the rosters. Basketball coaches from around the state feel this is an honor just to be recognized on this short list. The Series divides the 2A-3A-4A All Stars into 4 geographic regions (by leagues) and those 4 teams play a “tournament” to crown a Regional Champion. The 5A & 6A schools are divided along the original format, where the ‘Metro’ Stars compete against the ‘State’ Stars. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for high school students, $2 for Middle School students, and $2 for Senior Citizens. Series Programs, souvenir T shirts, and concessions will be available on site.
