Marshfield and Elmira tried to get their non-league prep softball game in Thursday at Coos Head Field in Coos Bay, but Mother Nature won out after two-and-a-half innings. The visiting Falcons were up 3-2 when the game was called. North Bend got its game in with visiting Coquille and the Bulldogs improved to 4-0 with a 7-0 win at the Oak Street Park Fields.
