Marshfield had five prep football players named First Team All State in voting by the state’s coaches and compiled by the Oregonian newspaper following the conclusion of the season.  The Pirates finished second to state champion Cottage Grove.  Their coach, Gary Roberts, a Marshfield graduate, was honored as Coach of the Year for leading the Lions to the title.  Pirate junior Corey Stove and Senior Tyler Post led the Pirates with First Team honors on both offense and defense.  Post was recognized for both lines, while Stover was a Tight End and Defensive End.  Junior  running back Tristin Lemmons joined the two on the First Team as well as senior Wide Receiver Zach Kellar, and senior Defensive Back Jacob Dean.  Second Team honors went to Lemmons as a Linebacker, senior Phillip Hernandez on the Offensive Line, and junior Chase Howerton as a Deffensive Back.  Junior Quarterback and Center Grant Woolsey and Gannon Holland earned Honorable Mention.  North Bend junior Hunter Bierce was named Honorable Mention Defensive line.
