Marshfield, Douglas, and South Umpqua grabbed opening round wins in the 4A Far West League volleyball Tuesday night. The Lady Pirates beat Siuslaw 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-14) in Florence, while South Umpqua beat visiting North Bend 3-1 (17-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-22), and Douglas won at Brookings-Harbor 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-16). The second round on Thursday has Marshfield at North Bend, So. Umpqua at Douglas, and Siuslaw at Brookings-Harbor.
