Marshfield swept a cross country meet at Cape Blanco, north of Port Orford, Thursday. The Pirate boys won with 26-points to North Bend’s 50, Brookings-Harbor 82 and Myrtle Point 89. Marshfield tallied 23-points on the girl’s side with North Bend second with 50, Bandon 78 and Myrtle Point 78. Individually, Gabe Delgado won the boy’s 5k in 18:30.08, and Jazmin Chavez won the girl’s race in 20:40.15. The Pirates next race is Sept. 30, Woahink Lake XC Invitational in Florence. North Bend will run Saturday at the Rock n’ River meet at Elijah Bristow State Park near Eugene.
