A 2.9-magnitude earthquake shook the Cape Mendocino area of Northern California early Thursday morning, Dec. 13. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located north to northwest of Petrolia, CA where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.
