A 2.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded near Cape Mendocino in Northern California Monday, Sept. 15, near where the two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was lcoated southeast of Pine Hills, CA.
