A 2.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded near Cape Mendocino in Northern California Wednesday, Sept. 20. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake, one of five along the California Fault Line, was located south to southwest of Rio Dell, CA where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.
