Both ends of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast were shaken by significant earthquakes Monday, April 22. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.5 magnitude quake shook the northern end west to southwest of Port Hardy, Canada, while a 3.1-magnitude was also recorded on the southern end west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino.
