A rare on land earthquake shook the Central Coast area of Lincoln Co. Friday, Feb. 22.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 3.0-magnitude quake was located southeast of Rose Lodge, just northeast of Lincoln City.  On Sunday, Feb. 24, a 4.2-magnitude quake was measured at Cape Mendocino in Northern California where the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast begin.  A 3.2-magnitude quake was also recorded in the same area Sunday west to northwest of Petrolia, CA.
