One day after a 6.2-magnitude earthquake shook the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast, three aftershocks were recorded.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, all three quakes were located west of Bandon in Coos Co.  The first was a 3.1-magnitude Wednesday, Aug. 22, followed by two early Thursday morning, 3.1 & 4.0.  A 2.5-magnitude quake was also recorded at the southern junction of the two fault lines Wednesday, west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino.
