Bunker Hill, CCSO release – On 10/23/18 at about 12:09 am, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office 9-1-1 Center received a report of a robbery in progress at the Bunker Hill 7-11 convenience store. Sheriff’s Deputies along with the Coos Bay Police Department, Oregon State Police and the North Bend Police Department responded to the Bunker Hill 7-Eleven. The report from the scene was a young male with a bag on his head and carrying a black pistol had robbed the store. Money was taken during the robbery but due to the investigation still being conducted this amount will not be released at this time. By 12:13 am the first Sheriff’s Office deputy was on scene attempting to locate the suspect. A citizen reported seeing persons running from the scene. The investigation is continuing but at this time it is known that at least two persons were at the scene involved in some way with the robbery. All agencies worked extremely well together and the Robbery suspect was later taken into custody. The suspect is a 15 year old, male juvenile and his name will not be released at this time. The second male juvenile said he ran because he did not want to be involved in the crime. The handgun used in the robbery was recovered along with most of the stolen money. The suspect was transported to the Coos County Juvenile Department where he is lodged.
