Libby Dr., CCSO release – On July 19, 2019 The Coos County Sheriff’s Office received information of a subject who failed to return from a mushroom gathering trip in the Libby area of Coos Bay. The Coos County Sheriffs Office activated its Search and Rescue team and on July 20, 2019 at approximately 10 AM deputies and Search and Rescue personnel located the missing man. The subject was contacted by voice and then later located by K-9 Jager, an air scent canine. The missing man had been injured and unable to walk out on his own. He was extricated by Coos County Search and Rescue volunteer personnel, Sheriffs Deputies, Bay City’s ambulance personnel , and Charleston fire rescue.
