On May 4th, 2018 at about 1:00 PM a juvenile was arrested for Disorderly Conduct in the First Degree and lodged at the Lincoln County Juvenile Detention Center in Newport. The investigation by the Major Crime Team was able to determine the juvenile, a student of the Eddyville Charter School, acted alone. The arrest has ended the threats made to the school. Your Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the inconvenience created while safety measures were taken by law enforcement during the event and the delay of family re-unification. Sheriff Landers thanks the Eddyville students, parents, and faculty for their patience and understanding. Sheriff Landers extends great appreciation for the assistance from the Eddyville Charter School staff, Lincoln County School District, members of the Major Crime Team, Oregon State Police, Toledo Police Department, Pacific West Ambulance, and the Toledo Fire Department. Sheriff Landers stated, “The Eddyville Community Church deserves a special thanks for providing a safe and welcome location for the family re-unification.”
