Salem Police Detectives are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect and his associate who robbed the pharmacy at a local Safeway store on November 9. Salem Police officers were called to Safeway at 1265 Center St NE on November 9 at approximately 10:13 am on a report of an armed robbery. The suspect entered the store and walked around for a short time before approaching the pharmacy. He produced a note demanding narcotics and indicated he had a weapon, although no weapon was actually seen. The suspect is described as a white male adult, wearing a dark colored welder style hat, sunglasses and dark clothing. While in the store, the suspect had contact with an unknown female before approaching the pharmacy. Investigators would like to identify this person as well.
