Tuesday, Nov. 14, was the scheduled first day of a Sexual Harassment lawsuit against Bandon Dunes and its parent company at the Coos Co. Courthouse in Coquille. However, according to reports, the lawsuit brought on by an employee at the renowned resort located north of Bandon on the Pacific Ocean, was settled out of court. Darla Hamblin, director of reservations services at Bandon Dunes, named General Manager Hank Hickox and KemperSports in the lawsuit, which alleged Sexual Assault, Harassment, Discrimination, Retaliation and Negligence. She had sought more than half-a-million dollars. Hickox, who previously served as general manager at the Salishan Golf Resort on the Central Oregon Coast, is no longer employed by Bandon Dunes.
