On Saturday, May 20th 2017, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of potential criminal activity involving invasive images of a Marion County Cadet Deputy Sheriff distributed via a photo sharing application. After learning of the images the Sheriff’s Office took several steps to protect the victim and place the suspect, another cadet, on administrative leave. The Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Oregon State Police who investigated and referred the matter to the Marion County District Attorney’s Office. On July 5th, the Sheriff’s Office was notified that Brooke ESHELMAN, age 18 is to be charged with the crime of Invasion of Personal Privacy. ESHELMAN is set to appear at the Marion County Circuit Court Annex, on July 19th at 9:30 a.m. The Sheriff’s Office does not intend to release any further details regarding the investigation or the victim in this case.
