Port Orford, OR – Southwestern Oregon Community College is offering a presentation, Sneaker Waves: Killer on the Coast and the Latest Science to Predict Them. NOAA’s National Weather Service meteorologist, Sven Nelaimischkies will discuss the threat of sneaker waves, the latest science on what causes them, and future plans to predict when they are more likely to occur. This free presentation is scheduled for 2:00 pm through 3:30 pm on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the OSU Port Orford Field Station. A question and answer session will follow.
