Industries reporting over-the-month gains included leisure and hospitality (+30); and trade, transportation, and utilities (+20). Industries reporting losses included food manufacturing (-30) and professional and business services (-30).Coos County reported a loss of 30 jobs over the year ending in March. However, largely contract-driven professional and business services led the county with a gain of 230jobs, an 11.7percent annual growth rate. Leisure and hospitality also reported over-the-year job gains (+60).  Wholesale trade gained 30 jobs. Over-the-year losses were reported in private education and health services (-90); construction and manufacturing (-50, each); and retail trade (-40). Total government employment decreased over the year (-80).Curry County total nonfarm payroll employment increased over the month by 40 jobs. Job gains were reported in construction (+20) and leisure and hospitality (+20). No substantive over-the-month losses were reported. Curry County reported no significant net job changeover the year ending in March, resulting in a 0.2percent over-the-year job gain. Private education and health services added 70 jobs over the year, and other services added 30 jobs during this period. Industries losing jobs over the year included construction (-40). Government employment reported a decrease of 90 jobs over the year.
