The South Slough Reserve is teaming up with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in a family-friendly workshop Saturday, June 16, 9 a.m., that will show participants everything they need to know to go digging of a variety of clams, proper digging techniques and how to prepare and cook clams. Pre-registration is required, and everyone age 12 and older will need to purchase a shellfish license online, at a sales agent (Walmart, etc) or ODFW office in advance of the class.
